Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Freshman Kayla McClendon (Columbus, Ohio) scored a career-high ten points and three other members of the Black and Gold finished in double figures as Ohio Dominican fell 69-56 on the road at Cedarville University.
Junior Kennedy Schlabach (Millersburg, Ohio) and Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio) finished with 14 points apiece, while freshman Brynn Mullet (Berlin, Ohio) finished with 10 points.
Cedarville jumped out to an early 11-5 advantage. A basket by Stare at 5:07 began to chip away at the Yellow Jacket advantage. Mullet cut the lead to just two points converting a jump with 3:38 remaining in the first period.
CU took a 41-36 lead into the locker room at the intermission as Schlabach converted a three-pointer with 1:08 remaining in the first half. The Yellow Jackets extended their advantage to 17 points with two minutes remaining in the third period. ODU outscored Cedarville 14-10 in the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough as the Black and Gold comeback fell short.
