Box Score NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team falls in their conference opener on Thursday evening to the Cavaliers of Walsh University, 66-41.

- Reigning Great Midwest Player of the Week, Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio), notches her sixth consecutive double-figure game of the season with 20 points in tonight's game on 7-13 shooting.
- Off the bench, freshman Logan Pride (Twinsburg, Ohio) collected six rebounds and four steals. Pride added a career-high six points going 3-4 from the field in 26 minutes of play.
- Guard Madelyn Fearon (Greenville, Ohio) grabbed eight rebounds and five assists to lead the team on the night.
- Nia Johnson (Holland, Ohio) tallied six points off the bench shooting 43 percent from the field in 12 minutes.
How It Happened
- The Cavaliers scored the first points and went on an 18-4 run through the first quarter.
- Freshman Trinity Ramos (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) connected on a three with 6:00 minutes left in the second quarter. Stare converted a three-point play, but the Black and Gold trailed 25-11 going into the intermission.
- Stare opened the third period with a quick three before Walsh went on a 14-4 run with 2:47 left in the quarter. The Panthers answered with a six-point swing of their own, ending the period behind 43-24.
- Despite ODU shooting their best in the final ten minutes going 40 percent from the field and 71 percent from the charity stripe, Ohio Dominican came up short against the Cavs in the final stretch, losing 66-41.
