Box Score PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican volleyball team handled business against Ursuline on Saturday afternoon, taking the match 3-1.

- The Panthers collected 12 service aces. Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) led the way with four. Following her was Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) with three and Madison Smith (Elyria, Ohio) and Jenna Peters (Vermilion, Ohio) with two apiece.
- Shoup accounted for 15 of the team's 42 digs.
- Four different hitters notched double-figure kills. Junior Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) registered 12. Both Ashley Aselage (Tipp City, Ohio) and Lauren Lucas (Grove City, Ohio) added 11. Peters followed with 10.
- Freshman Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) grabbed 24 assists. Fellow setter Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ohio) had 16.
- At the net, Peters cataloged five blocks with Kirksey added four.
How It Happened
- The Panthers trailed early in the first set 6-3.
- The Arrows went on a four-point run to extend their lead 12-5.
- ODU brought it within five after a block from Kamryn Maxwell (Norwalk, Ohio) and Peters, making it 17-11.
- Ohio Dominican went on a six-point run to take the lead 23-21.
- UC rallied back and took set one in extra points, 27-25.
- Similar to set one, the Black and Gold found themselves behind 5-2 but responded with a four-point swing to go in front 6-5.
- The Panthers grew their lead to 15-8 after tallying kills from Lucas, Kirksey, and Peters.
- Ursuline brought it within one, 22-21 after capitalizing on ODU errors.
- Arica Thies (Fairfield, Ohio) ended the match with a kill, leaving Ohio Dominican on top 25-21.
- The Black and Gold found themselves playing catch up again after opening set three behind 5-1.
- After an ODU timeout, the Panthers went on a six-point run where Keipert registered three service aces in a row to take the lead 16-15.
- With kills from Peters and Kirksey, Ohio Dominican won set three 25-22, taking the lead 2-1.
- Grace Zinchuk (Schaumburg, Ill.) opens the fourth set with a pair of kills to give the Panthers the edge, 4-1.
- Shoup enhances the ODU lead t0 7-3 with consecutive service aces.
- UC cuts their deficit to one, 13-12. The Black and Gold responded with another three-point run, making it 16-12.
- Lucas added back-to-back kills to boost the lead 20-15.
- After a late Ursuline timeout, Ohio Dominican wins the next five points, winning the set 25-15. ODU won the match 3-1.
