Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Saturday afternoon the Panthers traveled to the Music City to battle to Trojans of Trevecca. After 90 minutes of play, ODU dropped the contest 3-0.
Trevecca opened the first half with a shot of the woodwork in the 5th minute. Jacob Gruber (Westerville, Ohio) registered the first shot for the Panthers in the 17th minute but missed the mark.
Senior forward Khalif Hassan (Columbus, Ohio) tried to get Ohio Dominican on the board in the 33rd minute but missed wide left. ODU keeper Ethan Kraynak (Worthington, Ohio) notched his first save of the match in the 34th minute off a shot from Jacob Sieber.
In the 43rd minute, the Black and Gold were awarded a penalty kick, failing to convert it, leaving the match scoreless at the half.
The Trojans pressured the Panthers' backline to begin the second half. Kraynak collected back-to-back saves in the 59th and 60th minutes.
TNU took the lead in the 78th minute when Sieber assisted Marlon Grossman. In the 86th minute, the Trojans converted a penalty kick and extended their lead to 2-0.
Two minutes later, Trevecca scored again after Cain Walder connected with Ben Singer. Gruber fired off a last-second shot in the 90th minute but missed wide, leaving ODU behind 3-0 to end the contest.
