Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – In a must win Friday night match, the Ohio Dominican volleyball team came out victorious over the Dragons of Tiffin in four sets. Coach Amy Bambenek collected her 200th career-win as a result of tonight's contest.

- The Black and Gold out-hit the Dragons 0.333 to 0.023 in the third set.
- Three Panthers notched 12 kills, including senior Madison Smith (Elyria, Ohio), Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio), and Ashley Aselage (Tipp City, Ohio).
- Freshman Jenna Peters (Vermilion, Ohio) followed with 11 kills.
- Libero Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) collected a career-high of 35 digs in the match, tallying the second highest digs in a match since 2015.
- Smith added 14 digs with Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) snagging 12.
- Setter Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) grabbed 31 assists, 11 digs, and three service aces. Fellow setter Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) registered 22 assists and eight digs
How It Happened
- ODU fell behind 5-1 in the first set, but responded with a four-point run off a service ace from Grace Zinchuk (Schaumburg, Ill.) to tie it up 5-all.
- The Dragons regained the lead 15-12.
- A block from Aselage and Zinchuk gave the Black and Gold a 22-21 lead.
- Set one went back-and-forth with a kill from Kirksey pushing it to extra points, 25-all.
- A kill from Zinchuk closed set one with the Panthers' on top, 31-29.
- Similar to set one, Ohio Dominican trailed 7-3 early in the second set.
- The Black and Gold took the lead after a five-point swing, 10-8.
- The Dragons won nine of the last 14 points to take set two, 25-22, tying it 1-1 in sets.
- In the third set, ODU jumped out to a quick 10-4 lead.
- The Panthers grew their lead to 22-8 after an 11 to 2 run.
- Ohio Dominican grabbed set three 25-12 after a kill from Peters, putting ODU back in the lead 2 sets to 1.
- Set four opened with a back-and-forth run, tied at 7-all.
- The Black and Gold established the lead with a six-point run, making it 17-11.
- After a few ODU errors, the Dragons brought it within one, 22-21.
- A kills from Smith and Kirksey gave the Panthers' the edge, winning the set 25-23 and the match, 3-1.
