Box Score NORTH CANTON, Ohio – On Saturday afternoon, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team played at Walsh for a second match-up with the Cavaliers, where WU took the contest 2-1.
ODU opened the match with three shots before the 16th minute, resulting in three saves for the Cavs' keeper. Walsh responded with a goal in the 20th minute from Jake Cunningham.
In the 27th minute, Black and Gold goalkeeper Ethan Kraynak (Worthington, Ohio) registered his first save off a shot from Altawil.
Senior Khalif Hassan (Columbus, Ohio) fired off a shot in the 38th minute, giving Walsh's keeper another save, and leaving the Panthers behind 1-0 at the half.
The second half began with Ohio Dominican being awarded a penalty kick. Hassan converted the kick to tie the match 1-1 in the 47th minute.
Walsh retaliated with another goal in the 54th minute, regaining the lead 2-1.
Kraynak collected another save in the 67th minute. ODU had no response to the Cavaliers' offense and dropped the match 2-1.
