TIFFIN, Ohio -- A balanced offensive attack saw four Panthers record double-digit kills as the Ohio Dominican volleyball team topped Tiffin on the road Friday evening, 3-1.
The Panthers, winners in seven of their last eight games, won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-13. After Tiffin rallied for a 26-24 third set victory, ODU outlasted the Dragons in the fourth set, 25-23.

Leading the balanced approach was junior Emilee Fecht (Hilliard, Ohio) with 15 kills. Fecht led ODU with a .353 hitting percentage and four total blocks as well.

Senior Amanda Remmetter (Springfield, Ohio) and sophomore Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) tied for second on the team with 16.5 points. Remmetter finished with 13 kills, two aces and two blocks, while Kirksey logged 14 kills, two aces and one block.

Junior Kamryn Maxwell (Norwalk, Ohio) pitched in 13 kills and seven digs.

Three Panthers also finished with 10-plus digs, led by sophomore Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) and senior Audrey Jenkins (Canal Winchester, Ohio) with 19 and 16, respectively.

Junior Carleigh Deitsch (St. Henry, Ohio) posted 50 assists and 14 digs, as well as eight kills.

Fecht and Kirksey powered the Panthers in the first set, combining for 10 of the team's 16 kills. Despite eight ties in the set, ODU used a 5-1 scoring run late to secure a 22-18 advantage. Back-to-back kills from Fecht won the Black & Gold the set, 25-19.

The Panthers led comfortably for most of the second set, highlighted by a stretch of five consecutive kills. ODU led by as many as 13 points in the 25-13 set victory.

Tiffin rallied in the third set, scoring the final six points to win 26-24, forcing a fourth game.

Ohio Dominican and Tiffin traded leads in the fourth game, combining for 13 ties and lead changes. A kill from Fecht, followed by a Kirksey ace though secured the match for ODU at 25-23.

The Panthers look to stay unbeaten in Great Midwest play at 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, with a trip to Ashland.
