HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The Ohio Dominican volleyball team fell on the road Saturday at No. 17 Hillsdale, 3-0. 

The Panthers drop their second straight conference match to fall to 11-7 overall and 5-4 in the G-MAC. Hillsdale earned its 23rd consecutive G-MAC victory and improved to 16-2 overall (9-0 G-MAC) this fall.  

BOX SCORE NOTES 

• Kamryn Maxwell (Norwalk, Ohio) registered double-digit kills for the fifth consecutive match, leading ODU with 10. The junior added 11 digs as well. 

• Four Panthers recorded 10-plus digs in the backrow, led by Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) with 20. 

• Audrey Jenkins (Canal Winchester, Ohio) and Carleigh Deitsch (St. Henry, Ohio) posted 10 digs each, with the latter leading the Black & Gold with 21 assists. 

• The Chargers hit .308 for the match, holding the Panthers to just a .083 hitting clip.  

• Hillsdale also enjoyed an 8-3 edge in service aces.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• ODU never led in the opening set, as a 9-1 mid-set scoring run powered Hillsdale to a 25-12 decision. 

• The Panthers and Chargers were tied at 17-all in the second set, but HC took advantage of four attacking errors by ODU to close the game on an 8-0 scoring run. 

• ODU led just once in the final set after a Kirksey kill on the opening rally of the game. Hillsdale though, led by as many as 10 points before claiming a 25-16 win.

• Ohio Dominican will break from conference action with three matches at the Midwest Region Crossover on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15 and 16.
