COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican volleyball team rallied after a first set loss to defeat Central State, 3-1 on Tuesday evening, inside Alumni Hall.
After dropping the first set 25-23, the Panthers took the next three, 25-20, 25-12, and 25-18.
BOX SCORE NOTES
- Leading the Panthers with 13 kills was junior Kamryn Maxwell (Norwalk, Ohio). She also added eight digs and three blocks.
- Freshman Jazlyn Lohman (De Pere, Wisc.) and senior Amanda Remmetter (Springfield, Ohio) had 11 kills each. Remmetter also posted 3 blocks.
- Junior Carleigh Deitsch (St. Henry, Ohio) had another double-double with 28 assists and 17 digs.
- Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky) tallied five of the six Panther service aces. Four of them came in the third set. She also recorded six kills and 16 digs.
- Leading ODU with 27 digs was sophomore Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio).
- The Black and Gold remained perfect in service reception throughout the entire match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- There were 12 ties and 4 lead changes in a competitive set one.
- Mackenzie Kelleher (Maineville, Ohio) registered four of her career-high eight kills despite the Panthers dropping the game 25-23.
- The Black and Gold went behind early in set two, but quickly took the lead with a four-point run making it 8-5. They led the rest of the game, taking it 25-20.
- In set three, ODU came out strong with a 6-0 lead. Central State had 10 hitting errors, which lead to a -0.103 hitting percentage. The Panthers took the game 25-19, regaining the lead 2-1.
- Ohio Dominican started set four fast, winning five of the first eight points. The Panthers ended the game on a kill from Remmetter, winning 25-18.

- Ohio Dominican will travel to Owensboro, Ky. where they will take on Kentucky Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m. (CT) on Friday, Oct. 29.
