COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After seven straight games on the road, the Ohio Dominican volleyball team returned home, defeating Ursuline, 3-0.
Leading a majority of the night, the Panthers took the sets 25-19, 25-15, and 25-21 over the Arrows.
BOX SCORE NOTES
- Amanda Remmetter (Springfield, Ohio) led the Panthers with 15 kills. She added nine digs.
- With 29 in the match, Carleigh Deitsch (St. Henry, Ohio) led ODU in assists. She tallied nine digs and four kills as well.
- In the back row, Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) recorded 19 digs. The sophomore also had four service aces and two assists.
- Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) contributed 10 digs and four kills. She was also perfect in a team-high 19 service receptions.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After going back and forth in the first set, the Panthers extended their lead to 19-10 with a seven-point run. ODU closed out the set on back-to-back aces from Shoup, winning 25-19.
- Shoup had all four of her team-high service aces in the first set. ODU had seven aces in the match, compared to just two for the Arrows.
- The Black and Gold came out strong in set two taking six of the first eight points. After outhitting the Arrows .351 to -.026, the Panthers took the game 25-15, extending their match lead to 2-0.
- Ursuline took the lead early in the third set, 2-0. Ohio Dominican answered by taking nine out of the next 10 points, extending their lead to 9-3. Maintaining the lead the rest of the set, ODU went on to win 25-21.

- The Panthers continue their home stand with a 5:30 p.m. match against Lake Erie on Saturday, Oct. 23.
