Box Score MARQUETTE, Mich. – In a back-and-forth contest, Ohio Dominican's volleyball team held off host Northern Michigan in five sets (23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-27, 15-13) in a GLIAC match Friday night.
Sophomore Kelly Nadler (Leipsic, Ohio) had a career high 23 kills while matching a personal best with seven blocks, senior Tory Thompson (Quincy, Ohio) added 18 kills, and senior Taylor Foster (Ida, Mich.) notched 25 digs with a career best nine total blocks. The win was ODU's first five set triumph this fall (1-5).
Freshman Bailey Line (Westerville, Ohio) led the Panthers with 51 assists, and sophomore Anna Ficker (Cincinnati, Ohio) tallied 25 digs. Senior Jackie Oestreich (Brighton, Mich.) recorded nine kills, as did sophomore Patricia Barreto (Findlay, Ohio). The nine kills were a career high for Barreto.
ODU (8-11, 3-6 GLIAC) hit .207 and limited Northern Michigan (13-10, 4-5 GLIAC) to a .130 attack percentage. NMU entered the match hitting .236, the third-best total in the GLIAC, and had hit .270 in its last six matches.
