Box Score TIFFIN, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team allowed two goals in the first 15 minutes, as they were unable to comeback, falling to nationally ranked Tiffin, 3-1 in a GLIAC match on Sunday.
The Panthers received their lone goal from freshman Ryan Kasprzak (Hilliard, OH) on a penalty kick at 84:00.
Junior Shane Facemyer (Sunbury, OH) would get a shot off in the box in the 84th minute which was saved by the TU net minder, but the Dragons were assessed a foul inside the scoring box. Kasprzak then capitalized with the penalty kick.
TU scored twice in the opening 15 minutes of the match, with goals at 13:49 and 14:44. The Dragons would hold an 8-4 advantage in shots during the first half.
The Panthers would allow a third goal in the 65th minute as TU would finish the match with an 18-10 advantage in shots.
Senior goalkeeper Justin Alexander (Reynoldsburg, OH) would make eight saves and post his second highest save percentage of the season at .727.
Kasprzak would take five of the 10 shots for ODU as he paced the team with three shots on goal. Both of Facemyer's shots would be on goal.
The Panthers, as a whole, would have a quality looks at goal, recording eight total shots on target.
ODU falls to 0-3-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the GLIAC with the loss. TU improves to 4-1-2 overall and 2-1-0 in the conference this season.
The Black and Gold will look for its first victory on the season when they travel to Malone for 1:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday, September 25.
