Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – After scoring the first two goals of the match, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team would settle for a 2-2 draw in its conference opener against Lake Erie on rainy Friday evening.
The Panthers (0-1-2, 0-0-1 GLIAC) would strike early as junior Michael Fragoulis (Chios, Greece) would find the back of the net with a header to the left side. Fragoulis would score on a corner kick delivered by senior Justin Bonchek (Mayfield, OH) at 4:32 in the opening half.
Less than a minute later, after a Storm (0-1-1, 0-0-1 GLIAC) goal was denied due to an offside call, junior Andrew Schwall (Gahanna, OH) would give ODU a 2-0 lead with 40 minutes remaining in the first half.
Schwall would break away from the LEC defense as his first attempt on goal was saved by the Storm goalkeeper, but he was able to capitalize on the rebound.
