COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team allowed two goals in the second half as they fell 2-0 against Tiffin on Friday night at Panther Stadium.
The Panthers played tough all match long but were unable to find the back of the net. The Dragons improve to 6-4-2 overall (4-4-0 GLIAC).
With the match tied 0-0, Tiffin scored in the 55th minute to make it 1-0. The Dragons added another late goal in the 80th minute of the contest.
ODU had great opportunities to score when freshman Tyler Thomas' (Granville, OH) shot just missed to the right in the 84th minute. A shot by junior Andrew Schwall (Gahanna, OH) in the 86th minute just missed the goal as well.
Freshman Ryan Kasprzak (Hillard,OH) led the Panthers (0-8-2, 0-7-1 GLIAC) on the night with four shots and two shots on goal.
Schwall, along with senior Caleb Wilson (Reynoldsburg, OH) and junior Michael Fragoulis (Chios, Greece), each added two shots.
Senior goalkeeper Justin Alexander (Reynoldsburg, OH) added eight saves for the Panthers. Alexander has made at least seven saves in four of the past five matches, including each of the last three.
The Dragons held a 23-14 advantage in shots, while outdueling the Panthers 11-4 in shots on goal.
Ohio Dominican will close out its four game homestand on Sunday, October 9 against Findlay. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Panther Stadium.
