The Panthers then found themselves behind 10-8 in the third frame before taking a 15-11 advantage after a pair of aces from freshman Anna Ficker (Cincinnati, Ohio). KWC drew within 20-19, but a tandem block by Oestreich and junior Taylor Foster (Ida, Mich.) and a kill by freshman Rebecca Skidmore (Westerville, Ohio) helped the Panthers close out the set. It was all Panthers in the final frame. Leading 9-6, ODU ripped off the next eight points, then had another 7-0 run to help seal the match.
