Box Score BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team suffered its second consecutive road defeat to a top-25 team, falling 3-0 (11-25, 20-25, 19-25) at No. 22 Ferris State Saturday night in GLIAC action.
With the setback, the Panthers dropped to 7-8 (2-5 GLIAC), while the Bulldogs remained unbeaten in the GLIAC (12-3, 7-0).
Sophomore Lauren Kraemer (Kettering, Ohio) led ODU with 11 kills and hit .320 and freshman Jackie Oestreich (Brighton, Mich.) chipped in with seven kills.
Sophomore Darby Slavin (Columbus, Ohio) had 24 assists and senior Tara Winner (Versailles, Ohio) had 11 digs to lead the Panthers.
The Panthers had a chance to at least extend the match in the third set, cutting a pair of seven-point deficits to one, 20-19, after a kill by Slavin and a pair of FSU hitting errors. The Bulldogs closed the set strong, though, scoring the final five points to claim the win.
ODU returns home for a 7 p.m. match Tuesday with Cedarville.
