Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team scored a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 26-24) victory at Urbana University on Tuesday night, breaking a five-match losing streak.
Rachel Billing (Anna, Ohio) had 13 kills and hit .370, while Ashley Sprau (Delaware, Ohio) had nine kills in 16 attempts without an error for a .562 attack percentage. The Panthers (2-5) hit .217 on the match, their highest in the last four matches.
Summer Hale (Galena, Ohio) continued her strong fall as she contributed 23 assists and 14 digs. Elyse Mongillo (Columbiana, Ohio; pictured) tallied 16 assists, Stacy Rogg (Cincinnati, Ohio) had 14 digs and Billing finished with a double-double as she had 10 digs to go along with her 13 kills.
After taking the first two sets, Ohio Dominican trailed 24-18 in the third set, but with Rogg serving, was able to close out the Blue Knights with eight consecutive points in winning the team's second road match of the season.
The Panthers return to conference action at 7 p.m. on Friday at Ashland.
