COLUMBUS , Ohio – The Ohio Dominican volleyball team defeated neighboring Otterbein College in a quick three game set on Tuesday evening in Alumni Hall. The Panthers had little trouble with the Cardinals as they went on to a 3-0 victory by the way of 25-16, 25-10, 25-13.
ODU, riding a high from a quality weekend, kept it going on Tuesday as they improved their home record to 2-1 on the year. ODU jumped out early as they seemed to have everything work their way in game one. The momentum continued in the next two sets as they cruised to the cross town victory over NCAA III Otterbein College .
ODU was led by sophomores Ashley Croy (Ottawa , OH) and Summer Hale (Galena , OH). Croy and Hale each finished the night with a team high eight kills. Senior captain Jessica Buzenski (Columbus , OH) added seven kills from the middle and Cassie Vome (Mason , OH) chipped in with five. Cassie Schroeder (Columbus Grove , OH; pictured) dished out 17 assists and added 14 digs to lead the way defensively.
ODU, now 8-7, will return to action this Thursday, September 25th as they welcome Urbana University to Alumni Hall. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
