COLUMBUS , Ohio – The Ohio Dominican volleyball team continues to play well on their home floor as they put together a dominant performance against Carlow University Tuesday evening in Alumni Hall. The Panthers are currently 5-1 on their home court after cruising past the Celtics in three.
Ohio Dominican jumped out early and powered their way to a dominant performance at the net as the Panthers out hit the Celtics .456 to .015. ODU also combined for 11 blocks in-route to victories of 25-9, 25-10, 25-12.
Sophomore middle hitter Ashley Croy (Ottawa , OH; pictured) led the attack as she finish the night with nine kills and three blocks. Overall, the Panthers had seven different players with a kill and the duo of Cassie Schroeder (Columbus Grove , OH) and Elyse Mongillo (Columbiana , OH) combined for 29 assists.
Jessica Buzenski (Columbus , OH) had a total of eight kills and a hitting percentage of .533. Chelsea Rogers (Botkins , OH) added seven kills and had a team high .700 hitting percentage for the match.
Defensively, Ohio Dominican was led by freshman outside hitter Stacy Rogg (Cincinnati , OH) with 15 digs. Schroeder also added five aces in the victory.
Ohio Dominican (12-9, 3-2) returns to action this Saturday, October 11th as they travel to Roberts Wesleyan College for a conference tri-match with the Raiders and Ursuline College . ODU's first match is set to begin at 11 a.m.
