A native of Edison, Ohio, Bump spent four standout years at Ohio State, where she was a consistent presence in the Buckeyes’ lineup. She compiled a career .300 batting average with 21 doubles, two triples, and seven home runs. In her senior season in 2024, she posted a .336 batting average and a .410 on-base percentage in Big Ten play—ranking second on the team—and added a career-high five home runs and 24 RBIs. She recorded 12 multi-hit games that season, including back-to-back three-hit performances against Wisconsin.
Following her undergraduate career, Bump transferred to the University of Kentucky to compete as a graduate senior during the 2025 season, taking advantage of her final year of NCAA eligibility. At Ohio State, Bump was named a team captain and selected as a “Lead Like a Buckeye” leadership representative. She was a Dean’s List honoree and an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete while earning her degree in Marketing. Off the field, she completed a summer internship with Learfield through the Bucks Go Pro 1.0 program.
