Cross Country Set to Compete in NCAA Midwest Regional Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's cross country teams are set to compete in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Saturday in Evansville, Indiana at the Angel Mounds Cross Country Course.

The men will be running a 10K race with the women running a 6K race. All tickets will be sold at the gate on race day and are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for students with free admission for children ages five and under.

Last time out for the Panthers, freshman Caleb Belmont (Carroll, Ohio) set the ODU freshman record in the 8K race at the G-MAC Championships with a time of 26:18.4 finishing second overall.

A trio of personal bests were also posted on the men's side with junior Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio), sophomores Sean Noll (Sheridan, Ohio) and Adam Kamel (Berea, Ohio) all posting career times. McNair finished with a time of 27:41.7 with Noll just behind at 27:49.2 and Kamel finishing at 29:20.7.

On the women's side, all five runners set career best times in the 6K race with freshmen Paige Boehringer (Covington, Ohio) and Haleigh Spencer (Hilliard, Ohio) tying with a time of 23:54.6.

Sophomore Ashley Wihl (Williamsport, Ohio) finished with a time of 24:27.4 and just behind her was fellow classmate Emma Lutz (Celina, Ohio) with a time of 24:53.4.

Freshman Mary Walton (Lancaster, Ohio) rounded out the Panther scoring finishing with a time of 27:55.4.

The course will open up for the competitors at 7 a.m. with the women's race beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the men's race following at 10:45 a.m.
