Volleyball Falls In Three At Findlay

FINDLAY, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team dropped a three-set contest to No. 24 Findlay (17-25, 17-25, 19-25) in G-MAC action on Tuesday.

Freshman Amanda Remmetter (Springfield, Ohio) paced the Panthers with 10 kills, her sixth match in double figures in kills. Sophomore Ashton Barr (New Castle, Ind.) led ODU with 18 assists and freshman Tate Rybarczyk (Avon Lake, Ohio) added 11 digs.

ODU hung tight in the first set, trailing just 13-12 before the Oilers scored four straight points to pick up some separation. A kill by Barr in the second set brought ODU within 15-11 and forced a Findlay timeout, but the hosts responded with three straight points to pull away. The Panthers were then within 18-15 in the third set before another Findlay run ultimately put the match away.

Ohio Dominican (2-10, 0-4 G-MAC) will play its home opener at 7 p.m. Friday against Lake Erie in Alumni Hall.
