Panthers Back in Action at Wayne State, Findlay

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team returns to conference play this weekend as the Panthers play at Wayne State Friday night before a road tilt Saturday with Findlay.

ODU enters the weekend with a 9-14 record overall (3-8 GLIAC) after finishing 1-2 at last week's GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament. The Panthers defeated Saint Joseph's 3-0 before suffering a 3-0 setback to Drury and a 3-2 defeat against Quincy.

Sophomore Lauren Kraemer (Kettering, Ohio) had a strong weekend, hitting .280 while registering 37 kills with 10 blocks. Freshman Jackie Oestreich (Brighton, Mich.) added 27 kills with a .257 attack percentage for the three matches, while sophomore Courtney Braun (Hilliard, Ohio) tallied 25 kills.

Freshman Heidi Hess (Dayton, Ohio) had 59 assists and a tournament-best nine service aces, while sophomore Kelsey Fortney (Lorain, Ohio) chipped in with 53 assists. Freshman Megan Hendershot (Galloway, Ohio) led ODU with 4.36 digs per set and 48 total digs, junior Lauren Rindler (Rossburg, Ohio) had 45 digs and senior Bailey Barker (Muncie, Ind.) added 42 digs.

Wayne State enters the weekend at 8-14 (5-6 GLIAC), while the Oilers come into the weekend at 14-9 (5-6).
