PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Dominican women's soccer completed its 2019 road schedule by earning a 4-0 win against the Lake Erie Storm on Saturday afternoon at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium. The Panthers improve their record to 8-4 (6-2) and finish 2019 with a robust 7-2 record on the road.

Midfielder Lindsay Buten (Cincinnati, Ohio) claimed an early lead for ODU in the third minute of the contest. The junior midfielder dribbled down the far side of the field, working to get inside the penalty area before hitting a shot with her left foot to Lake Erie goalkeeper Megan Biddell to her left.

Samantha Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) doubled the lead in the seventh minute of the match collecting her eighth goal of the season. After being fouled in the offensive third, the junior stepped up to take the free-kick.  Buck bent her shot around the wall and past the goalkeeper to claim a 2-0 advantage.

The junior midfielder added another goal six minutes later scoring off a throw-in from midfielder Shelby Shotton (Marion, Illinois). The throw-in bounced off a Storm defender before finding the head of Buck, who touched it past the goalkeeper to extend the lead to 3-0.

ODU continued the offensive momentum in the second half, outshooting the Storm 11-4.

Freshman Kiyha Adkins (Troy, Ohio) added another goal in the 83rd minute, heading home a cross from fellow first-year player Morgan Kirk (Findlay, Ohio) to lift the Panthers to a 4-0 victory over the Storm.

The Panthers head home for a five-match homestand beginning on October 24. ODU welcomes the Walsh Cavalier to Sunbury Road on Thursday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
