No. 6 – Johnson's Heroics Lift Women's Soccer in OT

Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team was locked in a scoreless tie with Northern Michigan late on a Friday night at Panther Field.

Neither team was able to gain much traction offensively throughout the match. Both sides managed just five shots in the first half, and there were just 10 total shots on goal through the first 90 minutes of the match entering overtime.

With the fans just settling back into their seats for overtime, though, ODU took advantage of its first possession of the extra period, as freshman Kelly Johnson scored on a free ball in front of the net just 25 seconds into the frame to give ODU the 1-0 victory.

The win helped the Panthers advance to the conference tournament for the fourth consecutive season as they finished fourth in the regular season standings.
