BAY CITY, Michigan – Ohio Dominican was recently recognized for its work off the pitch as the GLIAC honored nine women's soccer student-athletes on the conference 2011 All-Academic and All-Academic Excellence squads.
Junior Shara Perry (Hilliard, OH) led the way, earning All-Academic Excellence merit with a 4.0 cumulative GPA in biology/exercise science.

Receiving All-Academic distinctions were seniors Jill Davis (Early Childhood Education; Middletown, OH) Slone Fleak (Sport Management; Sunbury, OH), Marie Fudacz (Psychology; Toledo, OH) and Sierra Patterson (Business Administration; Brecksville, OH). Also collecting the accolade was the sophomore quartet of Christen Adams (Business Administration; Sylvania, OH), Megan Augusta (Pre-Medicine; Lyndhurst, OH), Olivia Scalzitti (Accounting; Brecksville, OH) and Danielle Scheetz (Early Childhood Education; Coshocton, OH).

The Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0, while the All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0-3.49.
The eight All-Academic selections were tied for tops in the conference with Grand Valley State (Mich.) and South Division foes Ashland and Tiffin.
