About the Panthers:
After just two goals in its first four games, ODU came alive last weekend, picking up wins No.1 and 2 of the young season with back-to-back shutouts over conference foes Ashland (2-0) on Friday and Lake Erie (4-0) on Sunday to pull within a win of South Division leader, Tiffin.

Thanks to scores from sophomore Megan Augusta (Lyndhurst, OH) and junior Jennifer Holton (Johnstown, OH), the Panthers improved to 2-0-1 all-time against Ashland, outscoring the Eagles 5-0 in that span. Senior Sierra Patterson (Brecksville, OH), the school's all-time assist leader, assisted on both the scores to bring her career total to 25.

On Sunday, behind a remarkable 27-2 shots advantage, including an 18-2 shots on goal disparity, ODU had its highest scoring output since a 4-0 shutout over Embry-Riddle in Nov. of 2009. Patterson, junior Kirsten Hoy (Worthington, OH) and sophomore Olivia Scalzitti (Brecksville, OH) all scored their first goals of the year, while Holton recorded goal number two with a second half score.

About the Dragons:
Tiffin posted a 2-1 record last week, knocking off GLIAC foes Saginaw Valley State (1-0) on Friday,  and Northwood (4-0) on Sunday. Earlier in the week, the Dragons fell to Notre Dame College, 4-0. Senior forward Hannah Stevens tallied two goals and an assist in the three matches last week, including the game-winning score against the Cardinals. Lauren Bowyer leads the Dragons with four goals, while Shelley Rogers leads the conference with six assists and ranks second with 10 points.

About the Oilers:
The Oilers went 0-1-1 last week, going into double overtime against both Northwood and Saginaw Valley State at home.  The Oilers fell 3-2 in double overtime to the Timberwolves and tied the Cardinals 0-0.  Caitlyn Theaker and Ann Eichman each scored goals for Findlay during the week.  Megan Gallaway, the team leader with five points on the season added an assist during the Northwood game, while Eichman and Ashley Ruz have each totaled 4 points.

The Series:
The Panthers are winless in 10 previous meetings against Tiffin dating back to ODU's inaugural season in 2000. Last season, the Panthers went 0-1-1 against the Dragons, falling at home 2-1 in the series finale. Since their first meeting in 2005, ODU is 2-1-2 against Findlay, going 1-1-0 last year, including a 3-1 road win.
