Women's Golf Sits Second After Day One of Michael Corbett Fall Classic

ERIE, Penn. – After day one of the Michael Corbett Fall Classic, the Ohio Dominican women's golf team sits in second place after shooting 320 in their opening round of the 2019 season at Lake Shore Country Club.

The Panthers were led by seniors Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) and Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) who shot 78 and 79, respectively. Swensen is currently sitting in a tie for fifth and is tied for second in the field at +2 on the par-4's. Krueger sits tied for eighth after day one and is second in the field in par-5 scoring at -1.

Sitting tied for 13th is senior Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) posting an 82 in round one while sophomore Alex Gomez (Morrow, Ohio) is tied for 19th shooting an 82.

Rounding out the Panther five was fellow sophomore Natalie Parker (Ostrander, Ohio) who sits tied for 54th shooting an 89.

Ashland currently holds the lead at 316, four shots ahead of the Panthers while Gannon sits third just one shot back of ODU.

Round two of the Michael Corbett Fall Classic tees off tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Lake Shore Country Club.
