LEMONT, Ill. -- Ohio Dominican's women's golf team finished fourth at the Flyer Intercollegiate shooting a two day total of 668 where they improved by 32 strokes and had the second best round of 318 on day two at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
Minnesota State won the event shooting a total of 627 while McKendree's Natasha Ainsley-Thomas was the individual medalist with a score of 150 (+6). McKendree was second shooting 639 while Lewis shot 646 in third and Upper Iowa rounded out the top five with a 671.
Leading the Panthers in the tournament was junior Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester) who improved by nine shots to shoot 76 on day two to total 161. Krugers performance placed her in a tie for ninth which is her second top 10 of the year.
Placing 20th and improving by nine shots from round one was senior Kaylin Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) shooting 79 on day two to total 167 for the week. This is Dill's second top 20 this season.
Junior Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) improved by three shots on day two to shoot 84 and total 171. Romine placed in a tie for 27th as she started the day in the same position.
Fellow junior Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) shot up 17 spots on the leaderboard to tie for 31st. Swensen improved by 15 shots to shoot 79 in the final round.
Rounding out the Panther five was junior Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio) who tie for 49th shooting 97 on day two to finish the week with a score of 187.
Next on the schedule for the women's golf team is the Findlay Bing Beall Classic on Monday October 8 and October 9 at the Findlay Country Club.
