COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's track and field teams head to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships this weekend at Hillsdale.
Last week at the Ohio Open, the men's team had 11 athletes finish in the top five of their respective events led by senior Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) in the 800 with a time of 1:59.64 and freshman Sean Noll (Somerset, Ohio) in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
They had four athletes finish second as junior Alex Botello (Hilliard, Ohio) cleared the 3.85 meter mark in the pole vault while Cam Brandon (Cleveland, Ohio) finished the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 15.49 and freshman Adam Kamel (Brook Park, Ohio) finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:01.17.
On the women's side, junior Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) finished second in the high jump clearing the 1.50 meter mark and later finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 16.00.
Freshman Kaysi Morris had a first place finish in the pole vault clearing the 2.75 meter mark while senior Makaylah Downour (Carroll, Ohio) had a third place finish in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:33.09 and junior Bryanna Barber (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) had a fourth place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.76.
The G-MAC Championship begins Thursday with the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon while all other events begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
