ALLENDALE, Mich. – Junior third basemen Landry Slider (Stow, Ohio) of Ohio Dominican's softball team was named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Midwest Region second team announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.
The junior third baseman led a team that scored 263 runs this year in batting average, runs batted in and hits this season. She hit .369 at the dish driving in 40 runs with 65 hits on the season. Her 40 RBI's were fifth the G-MAC where she was named to the All-GMAC first team last week. Those 40 RBI's also tie her for the most in the program since the 2013-14 season.
Slider played in all 54 games at third base for the Panthers where she also hit four home runs and was tied for second on the team with 13 doubles. She had a slugging percentage of .523 while having an on-base percentage of .523.
Slider and the Panthers finished the season 32-22 overall and 21-5 in the conference where they clinched the G-MAC Regular Season Championship for the first time since joining the league.
