COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's softball team continues G-MAC play as they travel to Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday and Sunday for a pair of doubleheaders.
The Panthers come in at the top of the conference with a perfect 14-0 conference record and are sitting at 24-14 overall. They are winners in 18 of their last 20 games coming into the weekend.
Over the last 20 games, the Panthers have hit .346 with 126 runs scored and 26 home runs.
Sophomore leadoff hitter Carson Hackerd (Frankfort, Ohio) has sparked the offense hitting.435 with an on-base percentage of .494 with 30 hits and a team leading 18 runs scored.
In that same stretch, junior Landry Slider (Stow, Ohio) has hit .431 with 28 hits with 18 RBI's and an on-base percentage of .449. Senior Kelly Mix (Baltimore, Ohio) has hit .414 with 18 RBI's and a team leading seven doubles.
Junior Taylor Farmer (Mt. Blanchard, Ohio) has hit nine of the teams 24 home runs in that stretch hitting .373 and a slugging percentage of .915.
Fellow junior pitcher and designated player Cameron Barber (Powell, Ohio) has helped lead the offense and defense at the plate and in the circle. At the plate, Barber has hit .362 with a team leading 19 RBI's with four home runs and five doubles. In the circle, Barber is 8-1 with a 3.19 ERA with 52 strikeouts to just six walks in 52.2 innings pitched.
Also in the circle, freshman Sydney Long (Ashland, Ohio) is 9-1 with a save and an ERA of 1.89 in 59.1 innings pitched where she has 50 strikeouts while allowing just 16 earned runs.
The doubleheaders with the Trojans and Panthers each start at 12 p.m. CT Saturday and Sunday.
