NFCA All-Region Teams

Ohio Dominican softball freshman Alex Cribari (Lyndhurst, OH) was recently named to the 2012 NFCA Division II All-Midwest Region Second Team as voted on by the member coaches in each of the eight regions.

Along with becoming the first Panther to collect all-region honors at Division II, Cribari was the first in program history to earn All-GLIAC First Team distinction and was also recognized as the GLIAC Freshman of the Year.

Cribari, one of the NCAA Division II national leaders in hit by pitches, surpassed the ODU career record in the category in just her first season with 21 for the year. Her propensity of getting hit resulted in the sixth-best on-base percentage (.456) in the GLIAC and allowed her to swipe the seventh most stolen bases (13). Cribari also led the Panthers in batting average (.350), ranked second in slugging percentage (.460) and third in both hits (48) and runs scored (23).
