Friends of Jaclyn Celebration, Senior Day Highlight Softball Festivities

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Along with the on-field drama of the push towards the postseason, Ohio Dominican's softball team will also provide off-field excitement this weekend when Findlay comes to town. Over the four-game conference set, beginning at 3:30 p.m. this Friday, April 20, the Panthers will celebrate Friends of Jaclyn Day and recognize its seniors on Saturday's annual Senior Day game.

As a significant supporter of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, a non-profit, charitable organization that improves the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families, ODU will recognize its honorary team member, Reagyn Semler, along with her family prior to the start of game one on Saturday. Adopted by the Panthers in January of 2010, Reagyn will also get to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the third straight season.

Throughout Friday's action, ODU will have a silent auction and donation basket with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to the FOJ Foundation. Below is a list of the various silent auction items.

On Saturday following the completion of game two, the Panthers will recognize its trio of senior student-athletes: Caitlin Chaney (Newark, OH), Kylee Crislip (Louisville, OH) and Erin Sutter (Mansfield, OH).

Friday's silent auction items:

  • 2 Ohio State Buckeye football tickets - $300 value
  • 4 Columbus Clippers box tickets to game of choice, Tansky Sawmill Toyota Club All-Access Pass and parking pass - $50 value
  • 18-hole pass and cart to Blackhawk Golf Club in Galena
  • Numerous gift baskets, consisting of a beer/wine basket, car detailing package, tailgate bucket, movie night outing, sweets & treats package, summer/beach ensembles, bookstore clothing/items, Panther athletics team apparel, Vera Bradley collections, and Bath & Body Works assortment.
