COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team held on for a 2-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action Thursday on a windy night in Panther Stadium.

Senior Cameron Christian's (Pataskala, Ohio) game-winner in the 60th minute proved to be the difference as he found the left low corner of the net on a cross from junior Foster Martin (Kings Mills, Ohio).

ODU was able to jump on KWC in the ninth minute as Cooper Johnson (Urbana, Ohio) found freshman Alex Larzelere (Hilliard, Ohio) on a cross which Larzelere finished for his third goal of the season to put ODU up 1-0 where the teams would head to the locker room.

ODU outshout KWC 10-5 in the first half with six ODU shots on goal to KWC's zero.

The Panthers would double the lead at 2-0 out of the half on Christian's goal in the 60th minute. KWC would cut their deficit to 2-1 scoring in the 69th minute. Freshman goalkeeper Russell Montemarano (Westerville, Ohio) kept KWC (4-10-1, 2-9-1) off the board the rest of the contest with a pair of saves winning one-on-one battles with KWC strikers.

Montemarano finished the contest with three saves, all in the second half, in all 90 minutes between the posts.

The Panthers (5-9-2, 3-7-2) return to action Saturday, November 2 hosting Trevecca Nazarene on senior day with kickoff set for 12 p.m. inside Panther Stadium.
