Men's Soccer Falls to No. 5 Lake Erie in Final Road Contest of the Season

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team lost a Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest at #5 Lake Erie by a final score of 4-0 Sunday evening in Painesville.

The Panthers had five different players take shots with freshman Alex Larzelere (Hilliard, Ohio) and sophomore Amadou Mamadou (Columbus, Ohio) having the two shots on goal in the second half.

After a scoreless first 31 minutes, Lake Erie broke the scoreless tie as the Panthers fouled LEC in the box and they converted a penalty kick in the 32nd minute.

LEC would double their lead out of the half scoring in the 50th minute and would add two insurance goals in the 84th and 88th minutes.

Freshman goalkeeper Russell Montemarano (Westerville, Ohio) faced 10 shots making six saves in his 90 minutes between the posts.

The Panthers are back in action as they host Walsh and Malone this week on Thursday and Saturday.
