Men's Soccer Falls to Walsh on the Road

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team dropped a road contest with Walsh by a final score of 3-1 at Milazzo Field in North Canton.

The Panthers had 50% of their shots on goal as they had 12 shots compared to the 15 shots of Walsh that had 12 shots on target. Sophomore goalkeeper Aiden Genette (Macomb, Mich.) led the Panther defense recording nine saves on the night allowing three goals in all 90 minutes between the posts in his first career start.

Walsh (5-0-1, 1-0-1) jumped on the Panthers early as they scored in the second minute of the contest. The Cavs were able to hold onto the 1-0 lead into the half.

Walsh advance their lead to 2-0 in the 48th minute before junior River Allbaugh (Pickerington, Ohio) converted on an assist from freshman Khalif Hassan (Columbus, Ohio) for his first goal of the season. The Cavs were able to tack on an insurance goal in the 84th minute and held on to secure the win.

Next on the schedule for ODU (1-3-1, 0-1-1) is Kentucky Wesleyan on the road on Thursday, September 26 with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT.
