COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team used a pair of first half goals to defeat Seton Hill in a non-conference contest by a final score of 2-0 Thursday night at Panther Stadium.

The Panthers now advance to 1-2 on the season with Seton Hill dropping to 2-1.

The Panther men were led by senior Cameron Christian (Pataskala, Ohio) and freshman Alex Larzelere (Hilliard, Ohio) who each notched a first half goal to lead the Panther offense.

Junior goalkeeper Ian Crook (Cincinnati, Ohio) earned the win in between the posts getting one save on one shot in just over 67 minutes of action. Sophomore Aiden Genette (Macomb, Mich.) replaced Crook and stopped two Griffin shots in 23 minutes to combine for the Panthers first shutout of the year.

Both Panther goals were scored within 10 minutes of each other as Christian struck a 22-yard shot past a blocked goalkeeper into the left bottom corner of the net in the 12th minute. In the 21st minute, Larzelere got the rebound off a River Allbaugh (Pickerington, Ohio) shot and was able to sneak a shot past the Griffin goalkeeper to earn his first career goal.

The Panthers outshout the Griffins 9-7 in the contest while Seton Hill had two corners to the Panthers one.

ODU will be back in action Wednesday, September 18 as they open Great Midwest Athletic Conference competition traveling to Cedarville with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
