Men's Soccer Falls to Tiffin, 2-0

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team was defeated by No. 16 Tiffin 2-0 in a GLIAC matchup on Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, the Panthers fall to 7-5-0 overall and 5-4 in the GLIAC. Tiffin improves to 8-2-1 overall and now holds a 7-2-0 mark in the conference.

The Dragons opened the scoring in the 17th minute as they headed in a goal off a cross. Tiffin outshot ODU 5-1 in the opening 45 minutes.

In the second half, Tiffin added a penalty kick in the 58th minute to make the score 2-0. The Panthers were unable to find the back of the net with their seven second half shots, as they fell 2-0.

Senior Jakob Szabo (Worthington, OH) returned to the lineup and led the Panthers with three shots. Sophomore Michael Mueller (Aurora, IL) recorded one shot, and had the lone shot on net for ODU.

The Black and Gold will return to the friendly confines of Panther Stadium next weekend. The Panthers will host Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17.
