Men's Golf Completes Fall Season With Fifth Place Finish

AUGUSTA, Mich – Ohio Dominican's men's golf team completed their fall schedule Sunday afternoon at the Davenport Fall Invitational. ODU finished fifth overall after shooting their second lowest round of the fall season of 292 after shooting 296 in round one.

Ashland won the event shooting 561 total and Charles Delong of Grand Valley was the medalist shooting 134.

The Panthers were led by sophomore Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) who finished tied for 14th shooting a second round 73 after a 72 yesterday.

Fellow sophomore Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) shot 75 on day two after shooting an even par round of 71 in round one finishing tied for 18th. Junior Alex Heban (Toledo, Ohio) finished the tournament at +5 and tied for 24th shooting an even par 71 in round two after a 76 on the first day.

Freshman Jacob Brownley (West Chester, Ohio) finished tied for 29th shooting rounds of 79 and 73 while senior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) rounded out the Panther five with rounds of 79 and 81 to finish tied for 54th.

The tournament wraps up the fall season for the Panthers and they will be back on the course March 13 and 14 at Foxfire Resort in the Brown Golf Intercollegiate.
