Men's Golf Holds Second After Day One of Bill Blazer Memorial Tournament

PATASKALA, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's golf team holds second place, just two shots behind Mount Vernon Nazarene, as they shot 305 on day one of the Bill Blazer Memorial at Cumberland Trails Golf Course.

Leading the Panther scorers, senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) shot a 75 which puts him in a tie for eighth.

Three Panthers sit in a tie for 10th as junior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio), freshman Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) and senior Jack Casebolt (Pickerington, Ohio) all shot 76. Casebolt played as an individual and his 76 was a career low, beating a 77 from 2017.

Rounding out the Panther five, freshman Robert Holden (Hortfordshire, England) and sophomore Alex Heban (Toledo, Ohio) hold a tie for 15th posting a 78 on day one.

Playing as individuals, freshman Brandon Wehrle (Findlay, Ohio) and sophomore Jonathon Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) shot 80 to sit in a tie for 21st while freshman Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio) shot 84 to tie for 35th.

Tee times for day two of the Bill Blazer Memorial at Cumberland Trails begins at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.
