Men's Golf Ends Fall With Tie for Second Place

XENIA, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's golf team was led by freshmen to tie for second at the Cedarville Invitational as the team posted a 301 on day two at the Country Club of the North in Xenia, Ohio.

McKendree won the event shooting 594 total with rounds of 301 and 293. The Panthers and Ohio Valley tied for second with a 610 total while Cedarville and Wittenberg tied for fourth with a 625. Bryce Hull of Ohio Valley was the medalist of the event posting rounds of 72 and 71 (-1).

Freshman Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio) led the way for the Panthers in the final round of the fall season as he posted an even par round of 72 where he tied for seventh overall. Crowley ended the tournament tied for third in birdies with seven.

Fellow freshman Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) tied for ninth as he posted a 73 (+1) on day two after a 78 on day one. Holden finished the event shooting -1 on the par-5's while leading the tournament in pars with 26.

Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio), also a freshman, finished in 13th alone with a total score of 154. After a 78 on day one, Herman finished the fall season with a 76.

Senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) tied for 15th as he posted a 76 on day one and came back with an 80 in the final round of the fall. Wayman also finished the event with five birdies on his scorecards.

Junior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) rounded out the Panther five as he posted a 77 on the first day and came back with an 81 on day two. Saffell also finished the event with five birdies and was even on the par-5's.

On the Panthers second team, sophomore Alex Heban (Toledo, Ohio) finished 29th with rounds of 79 and 82 while freshman Brandon Wehrle (Findlay, Ohio) with rounds of 83 and 82.

Senior Jack Casebolt (Pickerington, Ohio) finished the fall with a pair of 83's and freshman Trace Thomas (Hamilton, Ohio) improved his score by 13 strokes as he shot an 80 on day two. Rounding out the Panthers was sophomore Jonathon Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) who posted rounds of 98 and 94.

Today marked the end of the fall season for the Panthers as their next event is the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational on March 16 and 17 at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, Kentucky.
