  • Coad has spent the last two years as an assistant coach at Marian for his second stint. 
    • During the 2023 season, Coad was elevated to the offensive coordinator role and changed positions from offensive line to quarterbacks along with being the recruiting coordinator. 
    • The Knights made two appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, making the second round in 2022 and 2023. 
    • Marian were tied for the Mid-States Football Association conference championship in 2023. 
    • Coached nine All-Conference players in 2023 as OC
  • From 2019-2022, Coad was the Offensive Line coach with the Butler Bulldogs.
    • Coached five offensive linemen to the All-Pioneer Football League honors, including four members in the 2021 season.
  • Coad's first stint at Marian came from July 2014 to February 2019 on the staff as Offensive Line coach.
    • Made four playoff appearances (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018), including becoming the 2015 NAIA National Champions after being the national runner-up in 2014. 
    • Won the MSFA title in 2014, 2016 and 2018. 
    • Coad helped Marian to a NAIA leading season in 2016, as the Knights' offense ranked top five in the nation in scoring offense per game and total yards per game.
    • Coached Zach Mitchell to the 2015 Rimington Award as the top center in the nation.
  • Totaled 11 All-Americans, 27 All-Conference Lineman and nine All-Conference Tight Ends during his Marian days. 
  • Coad spent two seasons (2012 and 2013) with Syracuse University as a graduate assistant for the following positions: linebackers, defensive linemen, special teams and offensive linemen.
    • Syracuse were the 2012 BIG EAST co-champions and won the 2012 Pinstripe Bowl and 2013 Texas Bowl.
    • Worked with three all-conference players in two seasons and two players drafted into the National Football League.
  • Served as an assistant coach for the defensive line, strength and conditioning and special teams at his alma mater, Wittenberg University, from 2009-12.
    • In three seasons, Coad's players earned seven All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors, four all-region awards and six All-America awards.   
    • The Tigers had the 2009 d3football.com National Defensive Player of the Year, Eddie Vallery, who amassed 16.5 sacks through the season.
    • Coad helped lead Wittenberg to two top 10 finishes nationally in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
      • The 2009 defense led the nation in total defense and scoring defense and finished fifth in the 2010 season.
  • Coad, a Cincinnati native, attended Archbishop Moeller High School and Wittenberg University. 
    • He earned his bachelor’s degree in history in 2008 and was a four-year letter winner on the offensive line at Wittenberg.
