COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican football program has released the dates and opponents for its 2019 schedule. The Panthers are slated to host three opponents this fall, while traveling six times.
Ohio Dominican, who finished 2018 with a 9-2 record for its eighth consecutive winning season, will be tested early with a pair of road non-conference games at Shepherd (W. Va.) and Valdosta State (Ga.). The Panthers begin the 2019 campaign at Shepherd with a 1 p.m. kickoff, Saturday, Sept. 7. The rest of the Panthers' slate is filled with Great Midwest Athletic Conference opponents. ODU will be entering its third season in the G-MAC, combining for a 13-2 mark. Highlighting the first two years in the G-MAC is a 7-0 conference championship in 2017.
The Black & Gold's home and conference opener will come against Findlay (Ohio) on Saturday, Sept. 21. The tilt with the Oilers will also be the Panthers' Homecoming and Athletic Hall of Fame weekend. All three of ODU's home games are slated for a noon kickoff.
Rounding out a four-game stretch in September is a trek to Tiffin (Ohio) at 4 p.m., Sept. 28. Ohio Dominican, Findlay and Tiffin all tied for second in the final 2018 G-MAC standings at 6-2.
