COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican senior offensive lineman Perrin Cunningham (Cincinnati, Ohio) earned Daktronics Second Team All-American honors on Wednesday.
Cunningham, who started at both left guard and left tackle for the Panthers this fall, earned a trio of All-Region honors following the season (BSN, Don Hansen, Daktronics.) A 2014 First Team All-GLIAC pick, Cunningham started all 13 games for the Panthers this season and made 34 starts in his career.
Cunningham helped clear the way for a balanced offensive attack that averaged 444.5 yards per game and 35.6 points per game this fall. The offensive line ranked amongst the nation's best in sacks allowed as Panther quarterbacks went down just nine times in 436 pass attempts.
Cunningham has been a three-year starter on the line for ODU. In 2013, the Panthers averaged 477.2 yards and 37.9 points per game, and in 2012 ODU averaged 452.8 yards per game and 40.8 points per contest.
Cunningham has also been a key part of junior Brandon Schoen (Lewis Center, Ohio) establishing ODU's career rushing record, and also played a role in helping senior quarterback Mark Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio) become a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy this fall.
