COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's annual spring football game saw the Black team emerge with a 25-16 victory over the Gold team Friday night, concluding the 2014 spring season for the Panthers.
A 53-yard pass on the first play of the game by rising senior quarterback Mark Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio) to rising junior Dez Stewart (Cincinnati, Ohio) helped set the tone for the night and led to an early field goal for the Black team.
Not to be outdone, freshman quarterback Austin Ernst (Cincinnati, Ohio) tossed a 66-yard bomb to rising senior Casey Williams (Nashport, Ohio) on the Gold team's first play from scrimmage. Ernst would finish 15-of-26 for 245 yards, while Williams had a game-high seven catches for 158 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter.
