COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Ohio Dominican football players Eisen Hardy, Eli Kovach and Tyler White were selected to represent Team Ohio in the 2013 Ohio vs. Michigan College Football Senior Bowl, which will take place on Saturday, April 20 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
The trio will be led by Ohio Dominican's coaching staff, led by head coach Bill Conley, which is coaching Team Ohio.
Hardy made 10 starts in 2012 and was second on the team with 61 tackles. He had an interception and broke up a team-high seven passes. He made 11 tackles in consecutive games against Ashland and Findlay this fall. For his career, Hardy made 242 tackles, which ranks third in school history, and his seven career interceptions tied for third.
Despite missing four games with injury, Kovach was selected to the All-GLIAC first team and proved to be one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the conference. He finished with 21 tackles, with 8.5 going for loss, and had two sacks, one of which resulted in a safety in the opener against Virginia-Lynchburg. Kovach set a school record for career tackles for loss with 27.5.
White was a First Team All-GLIAC pick after helping guide the Panther offense to one of its most prolific seasons in school history. ODU ranked 13th nationally in rushing offense (244.9 yards per game), 12th in scoring offense (40.8 points per game) and eighth in passing efficiency (161.0). ODU was also 27th in total offense with 452.8 yards per game. White, who received the GLIAC Commissioner's Award this fall, recently played in the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game and is currently training for the possibility of a professional career.
