Series With Northwood Up Next For #22 Baseball

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's baseball team will tangle with old GLIAC foe Northwood for a three-game series in two cities this weekend.

No. 22 ODU and Northwood will first play a doubleheader at Mason's Prasco Park, starting at 11 a.m. Friday, then will square off at noon on Saturday at Chillicothe's VA Memorial Stadium.

This will be the first meeting between the teams since they split a four-game series late in the 2017 campaign. ODU is 15-9 against Northwood since the 2011 season.

The Panthers won two of three games last weekend against regional foes and sit at 4-1 on the season. ODU is hitting .309 on the season with a .441 on-base percentage, and the Panthers are averaging better than eight runs per game.

Senior southpaw Garret Sendelbach (Tiffin, Ohio) is pacing the starting rotation with a 3.60 ERA in his two starts, and has limited opponents to a .256 batting average against. Sophomore Ben Speer (Mason, Ohio) logged 4.0 quality innings in the 10-6 win over Grand Valley State on Sunday, allowing just two hits and striking out four in earning the save.
