INDIANAPOLIS - A historic day for sophomore defensive back
Quinten Robinson got him awarded the Great Midwest Football Defensive Athlete of the Week honors on Monday (Oct. 12) afternoon.
In the 34-24 win over Thomas More, Robinson totaled 12 points in a 12 second span on a pair of interception returns for touchdowns. To open the second quarter, Robinson jumped on a short throw by the Saints and returned the interception ten yards to the end zone. One play later, Robinson intercepted the pass on the opposite side of the field and went 25-yards to the house to make ODU and G-MAC history.
Robinson became the first player in ODU history and the G-MAC to have two pick sixes in a single game. He is the first in Division II this season with two pick-sixes.
Ohio Dominican's secondary leads the conference and is second in Division II (3rd in all of NCAA college football) with 13 interceptions. Robinson joins
Sean Westmoreland and
Treyton Schroeder as the third Panther this season to have multiple interceptions in a game. He is tied for the league lead with four interceptions this season alongside Schroeder and two others.
