POWELL, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican Panthers cross country team took to the course on a  warm Friday (Oct. 3) evening, competing in the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational at Liberty Park. 

The women had their best finish of the year with an 11th place team mark. 

Merrick Shorter was third overall in the men's 8K with a 25:57.8 time, his second best time of the season so far. 

Eva Dulle was the highest Panther with a PR of 24:53.8 as she was in 59th place. Anna Blackstone followed Dulle with her own PR of 25:04.9 four spots behind Dulle. Alyza Camp had her best time of the season at 26:43.8 for 96th place. Julia Eaton set a 6K personal best of 27:39.0 in 108th place as the fourth finisher for ODU. Tyra McClain was fifth on the team at a time of 28:31.6 - a season-best time for her. Aileen Castillo made her return from injury with a 28.34.7.

In two weeks, the Panthers will compete in the JennaStrong Fall Classic at Wilmington on October 17th.
